We often get bespoke inquiries from women who are about to embark on one of the most beautiful journeys of their lives; every so often we get inquiries from men. So, when we do get one from a groom-to-be, we’re always excited to innovate the Most Meaningful Clothes™ for him and his special moments.
We concluded our 2024 bespoke inquiry with Yoga Pradipta’s wedding suit. After he approached us via our Happiness Specialist, Lulu, I was excited to hop on board the bespoke journey together. From that point on, I knew it was going to be an experience to remember.
Please note that we only created the bespoke attire for Yoga, the groom.
The Consultation
Since our first discussion, Yoga had a clear idea of what he wanted to wear for his big day – a full SukkhaCitta ensemble consisting of a suit and white shirt. Because he rarely wears formal clothing–like a suit, or, even, blazers–, he decided to come to our Flagship at ASHTA District 8 and tried on some pieces to figure out what looked best on him.
The intention behind this was inspired by the concept of re-wear, as he would like to be able to wear his bespoke suit again for other suitable occasions.
He was certain of one thing: to wear a blazer without collars. Additionally, he didn’t want it to be slim-fitted so that his suit would look less prim and proper – a personal style preference of his. The intention behind this was inspired by the concept of re-wear, as he would like to be able to wear his bespoke suit again for other suitable occasions.
After our discussion, I immediately thought of our Minimalist Blazer, and so I suggested we make an elevated men’s version of the piece which would then be paired with our Work Pants. With our bespoke services, the client gets to customize the style with his/her chosen fabric from the selection of available fabrics we offer. In Yoga’s case, he chose the Handwoven TITIK in SweetIndigo™ Light Grey for his suit look. To go with the suit, he decided on our TITIK Fitted Shirt in Nature White for the inner piece.
The Suit
Yoga’s bespoke Minimalist Blazer is fully lined and has a classic fit cut with straight hems. I wanted the blazer to still feel roomy with extra space that allows freer body movements, perfect to be worn at work for the purpose of re-wearing his Most Meaningful Clothes™. It features a single vent, jetted pockets, a four-button cuff, two hidden button fastening, and shoulder padding.
The pants were designed in a classic / regular fit, with extra space around the thigh and shin. Lastly, it features a two-button waist side adjuster.
For a sentimental touch, the bespoke blazer was finished with several hand-embroidered details. Firstly, just slightly above the inner pocket are the inscriptions of his wedding date, and, lastly, his initials embroidered on the right cuff of his fitted shirt. Making the suit all the more personalized and meaningful for him.
