NEST Seal of Ethical Handcraft
Launched at the United Nations in 2017, the NEST Seal of Ethical Handcraft is the first certification that assesses ethical practices in the informal craft sector beyond factories.
Together with some of the foremost leaders of social compliance and labor rights, Nest has created a framework of 100+ standards for assessing ethical practices:
• Living wages, including how they are calculated and paid.
• No child labor.
• Worker rights, such as regular breaks, the right to unionise, and sick leave.
• Anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies for all.
• Workplace safety in Rumah SukkhaCittas.
• The highest environmental stewardship in our materials and waste management.
